We began the class with Meditation, Visualization, and Movement. We immersed ourselves in the sensual and fertile world of Taurus, where cows graze in lush green meadows filled with flowers and butterflies. Everything is soft, everything nourishes. Everything is comfort. Spring bursts forth in abundance.

Then, we transitioned into the realization that after winter, autumn brought the decomposition of leaves, ushering in the archetype of Scorpio. The ground became damp until it turned into mud, and our heavy, grounded Taurus bodies transformed into cautious, powerful scorpions. Creatures that can live in the crevices of rocks, in caves, in water. Creatures that hold venom and potency.

The fabrics that once provided comfort in the space were now used to blindfold the participants, offering them the chance to experience freedom in darkness and risk. They danced from the internal sensations of water—the physical body containing the inner waters. Dark waters, mysterious waters.

We aimed to provide support and a sense of care so participants could explore both their sensual and sexual movements, feeling powerful within this small internal dance.

We offered them the opportunity to connect with their Venus, as well as their Mars and Pluto—the ability to strike with sharp movements, to grasp, to direct quickly, to destroy and decompose in order to recreate.

After this exploration, we removed the blindfolds, and a deep need for grounding emerged. We used the scarf as an extended tail and stomped heavily on the floor, embodying a fully earthly being. Then, we ran the scarf along our necks and throats, emphasizing this part of the body associated with Taurus.

Taurus savors life; Scorpio dismantles and expels it, just as it corresponds to the excretory system and menstruation. Less popular, more obscene, but no less vital. Scorpio does the dirty work so life can continue. Scorpio is the taboo, the hidden, the shameful, the forbidden. Why is that? How much power lies in compost and sexuality—so much potency that has been socially rejected, stigmatized, labeled as demonic or disgusting.

Thank you, Scorpio, for your bravery. Knowing yourself as soft, you built an exoskeleton to battle the darkness.

After grounding ourselves and connecting with the element, we moved into our choreographic sequence. We danced burlesque with chairs and scarves, embodying the Taurus-Scorpio axis. Kinky fairies of the swampy forest—sensual and lethal. Our powerful venom only made us more desirable, like glowing mushrooms in the heart of the native woods.

To conclude, we explored different movement qualities and sensations—specifically, slow and deep contact with materials, combined with the ability to snap and strike movement.

We danced and reflected on the ability to reveal or conceal our bodies. What do we choose to show, and what do we suggest? Do we cover ourselves, or do we expose ourselves? Does covering one part give more power to what remains visible? Or does concealing something create an air of powerful mystery? Is revealing ourselves an act of freedom, or does true freedom lie in the ability to appear and disappear as we please?

We took a moment for private writing and shared our sensations and thoughts, valuing each individual's perceptions and experiences. We acknowledged our ability to traverse our own swamps—with shame, with limitations, with enthusiasm, with love, and with acceptance.

What is obscene, and what is liberating? These concepts are not fixed but shift and fluctuate depending on our desires, our state of being, and our interactions with others.

Is our sensuality always accessible in our bodies? How do we inhabit our sensual bodies when we don’t feel at our best? Are we always sensory beings, even when our energy shifts?

How do we value the presence of the sensitive body on this planet? Does it have a purpose, a voice, a message to share?

Through movement, we explored these questions—not to find definitive answers, but to feel them in our skin, to embody them through dance, and to allow ourselves to inhabit them with curiosity and freedom.

Aries awakened in the Garden of Eden, surrounded by flowers, colors, and scents—sensual and creative. Libra dared to connect in the intimacy of Scorpio, where one must decide what to reveal and what to conceal.

What will happen next class with Gemini and Sagittarius? Can't wait! See you next time!
