The word "archetype" comes from two ancient Greek terms: arché (source or origin) and typos (models or forms). Together, they encapsulate the essence of Archetypal Dance Collective (ADC) as "The Origin of Forms."
At ADC, we root our work in archetypes—timeless symbols, characters, and situations that embody the core of human experience. Inspired by the theories of Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961), we explore how archetypes shape cultural understanding. These universal patterns underpin all art forms, reflecting our shared humanity while maintaining a sense of mystery and connection to a greater, intricate design.
Jung’s concept of the "collective unconscious" is central to our practice. This shared reservoir of human experiences and knowledge becomes the canvas for our exploration and expression. By questioning reality and embracing cross-dimensional collaboration, we delve into the symbolic layers of existence.
Our mission at ADC is to awaken symbolic perception and align with our highest self as a conscious ally. Far from detaching us from life’s joys, this journey empowers us to embrace its fullness without fear—connecting deeply with the physical, emotional, and spiritual essence of living.
